Cairns is the launch point for some of Tropical North Queensland’s biggest experiences. Head out to the Great Barrier Reef, chase waterfalls, visit nearby islands or add an adrenaline activity to your East Coast trip.

Atherton Tablelands — Nature’s Hidden Gem

Head inland from Cairns for waterfalls, swimming holes, crater lakes and rainforest. The Tablelands are ideal for travellers looking to escape the coast for a day and explore more of Tropical North Queensland.

Daintree Rainforest — The World’s Oldest Tropical Rainforest

Travel north from Cairns into the Daintree for rainforest, wildlife, swimming spots and Cape Tribulation. Choose from guided day trips or longer adventures depending on how much time you have.
